What Day Is Yours Alone?

Anniversaries are special in a way no other annual celebrations are, for this date belongs to you and your spouse alone. We love looking back over our 33 years together remembering how we celebrated each year on February 24th.

Today we want to share with you a video one of our readers, Jeff Todd, made for his wife, Kathleen. They just celebrated their 20th anniversary on Wednesday. He wrote the song you are about to hear, and we know you will be encouraged as you listen–it’s beautiful.

When it’s finished we invite you to leave a comment telling us your wedding date, including the year. Let’s join together in thanking God for the years He’s given us since we said, “I do.”

And to Jeff and Kathleen – Happy Anniversary – from all of us!

Happy Anniversary! We’ve never been to the Black Hills, but would love to one day. Enjoy your altered celebration with your daughter. What a blessing to have her near.

25 years this August? That’s great!!! Congratulations, Jason and Tiffani! So glad we have had the privilege to get to know you both recently. And I didn’t even notice you posted the date twice–I guess I haven’t had enough caffeine this morning either. Maybe I shouldn’t be commenting on reader’s responses yet. LOL.

My wife and I recently celebrated our 10th anniversary. We were married April 12, 2002. It’s been a challenging ride, full of ups and downs, and we are still together by God’s grace and love. I trust that things will continue to improve as time goes on, and the Lord continues to bless us.

Mark, You said it well, “a challenging ride full of ups and downs, and we are still together by God’s grace and love.” All of us can say the same thing. If it weren’t for God’s grace and love we would have nothing to share. Happy late anniversary!

    What a beautiful gift♥
My amazing husband and I will be celebrating our 32nd anniversary on July 3rd.
We agreed before we got married that the “d” word did not exist.
There is no back door or window to escape through.
God has worked in us and through us. Changing us, challenging us.
Using our marriage to conform us to His image.
Thank you, Lord, that I’m not who I used to be and I look forward to what is yet to be♥

Amen to that–“I’m not who I used to be,” what a gift it is to be able to change as God leads us in His power. Marcia, your wedding anniversary is the same date as my parent’s. This year would have been their 65th anniversary if my Dad hadn’t passed away in 2004. Thanks for commenting.

That song is beautiful… so wonderful. In fact my husband and I used to sing together so it reminds me of that time in our life.
We got married November 3rd, 1973 ~ 38 years ago.. we have learned that it is indeed for better or worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health… and we will stay ’till death parts us’.

Dan and I will be celebrating 16 years on June 22nd. Our third daughter happened to be born on that date eight years later, but Dan’s always insisted that it is indeed our special day first, joking when she was born, “I hope she doesn’t mind celebrating on the 23rd every year…” 🙂

It’s so cliche’, but I truly am more in love with my husband now, than I ever dreeeamed I could be sixteen years ago! God has been so kind to us. And it makes me so happy to know (especially in light of your other commenters, here), that we’re only just getting started!

It is NOT cliche’, Susan. This is why we do what we do. Thank you for being a vital part of our Vineyard. We love hearing how it is going on your side of town. Did Dan tell you he talked to Tom–it’s time for us to get together soon.
