Husband Appreciation Day

Husband Appreciation Day for Husbands without children.

This day is specifically for husbands without children. Since fathers have Father’s Day, someone decided childless husbands needed their very own day too. We love to highlight all kinds of holidays, so this is one we had to share.

Now the question is, “What to do?”

We encourage you to plan a day with all his favorite things–consider food, entertainment and schedule. Next, make a list of all the things you appreciate about him and write it in a letter, note or card. Being the day before Easter, you could make him his own Easter Basket. We have lots more ideas you can find on our Wives Only Romantic Easter Ideas page as well. (Guys, don’t spoil it by peaking either!)

Why all the fuss? What about Wives without children? They too, have their very own day to be celebrated. It’s the third Sunday in September. And guys check out our Husbands Only Romantic Easter Ideas too.

This is our 20th post in the Ultimate Blog Challenge to post everyday in April.

  1. This is a great idea. I know how hard it is for some who don’t have children to endure mother’s day and father’s day.

  2. I never wanted to be a dad
or have to share my beer.
I was cool with the life I had,
no regrets as death draws near.
    I never had the mindset
to become a wise old sage
Live fast and win the bet
that I’d die before I age.
That death is upon me now,
    with no living legacy.
Can’t say I’m distressed at how
this gene pool ends with me.
    Perhaps I’m an iconoclast –
“Live free then die!”; I’ve had a blast.

AT LAST! A celebration of husbands. My blogs are usually about my stepfamily and through exaggeration and wild analogies and metaphors I try to bring a laugh or a smile to my readers. I must say that the characters who make up my family are really good sports about like reading about themselves in the newspaper. But I love reading your blog, and I have picked up some romantic things to do.

Well we have children, grands and greats but I think a husband (or wife) day is great even for those with children. As Dee mentions, every day is an appreciation day in our household. My hubby brings me a rose every morning they are blooming and has them waiting on the table for me when I come downstairs. I appreciate all he does, including household chores. Yes, I would say we make a great team and now that our children are grown and out of the house, I can celebrate husband appreciation day with my sweetie of 52 years of marriage.

I’m with Martha and Dee, although my husband is gone, husband appreciation is for those with and without children. I notice that those who have been married for some time have spouse appreciation (for both husband and wife) on a regular basis.

Yes. Guys who are dads have Father’s Day though. That is why this day was created to give those without kids a day to celebrate. It I agree in a good marriage appreciation happens on a regular basis. 😊

This is great! Husbands often are forgotten for all they do. Since we’re all in a thankful state of mind, thinking about Jesus’ sacrifice, I’m so grateful for Jehovah forgiving my sins through the sacrifice of his son and for blessing me with a wonderful, loving, hard working husband. Feeling so blessed right now!
