What a wonderful date we had on Saturday! Some long time friends were in town for the weekend, so we spent the day together. First, you must know it was the first warm, clear Saturday we’ve had in Orlando in a long time. We spent the entire day strolling the Winter Park Art Festival and talking about everything under the sun.
For lunch we found a table at our favorite Turkish restaurant, Bosphorous, for some delicious healthy food: a sampler platter of stuffed grape leaves, roasted eggplant, hummus, tabbouleh, and the best Turkish Lavas (flatbread). It comes out of the oven puffed up and hot. Simply poke it with a knife, which allows the steam to escape, then rip it and dip it!
For dessert we spent an hour or so sitting outside at the local Starbucks sipping dessert from a grande cup! Today, is FREE Pastry Day at Starbucks. Click the link to print your own coupon and enjoy!
