Soggy 4th - Rained Out

Today’s Slice brings up this idea in marriage:  Even the best made plans are subject to the “weather”.  The only “whether” we can control is “whether” or NOT we’ll let it spoil our date.

    Last year for Valentine’s Day David planned to take me to the beach to watch the sunrise, one of my FAVORITE things in life! We got up early and drove 30 minutes away to the beach. As “weather” would have it, rain clouds covered the sky, and the sunrise was completely hidden from view. Needless to say, we were both disappointed. BUT, I gave David FULL brownie points for KNOWING me well enough to think of the idea. And, after all, David knowing me is higher up on the favorite’s list than seeing the sunrise at the beach. ;D

    As a side note, just thinking about this little story blesses me all over again! I love my husband! ❤
