This week Tom has been very sick. For most of it I was away on a girl’s basketball camp in Tennessee serving as driver and team mother. When I arrived home Tom was greatly in need of some tender loving care from me; I was happy to oblige!
Our date night is on Monday, but Tom was still battling a headache and feeling miserable. Rather than “can” the whole date night – we went out for dinner nearby to a place where we could talk quietly. It was good to be together even if he didn’t have much of a voice. Afterward we came home, and I drew him a hot shower in order for the steam to help relieve his congested head. It worked.
To my surprise, Tom had recorded a live concert of Michael Bolton – Live at Royal Albert Hall in England while I was gone.
It was relaxing, romantic and exactly what the doctor ordered – REST.
