As part of our anniversary getaway, we spent an afternoon in the preplanned Disney community of Celebration. It was a lovely day with plenty to do and see. If you are planning a trip it’s a good idea to check out their website to see what special events they may be hosting. This past weekend was their annual Wine and Art Stroll.
But even when nothing special is happening it’s a great romantic place to be – one where you’ll feel miles away from home.
We ate lunch at Cafe D’Antonio and enjoyed a perfect spot on the outdoor deck overlooking the water.
The food was very good and the service even better.
There are many other fine restaurants to check out that are sure to satisfy any appetite!
After lunch we walked around the village center and ended up resting a spell in the lobby of the Bohemian Hotel. It boasts quite an art selection reflecting the classier side of Florida living.
As far as other things to do – You could rent a bike for an hour or for the day. Simply call 407-545-5061 to make your reservation. Prices start at only $5 an hour. Or if you’re into something different – try taking a Segway Tour or renting one to explore on your own. Call the same number to inquire about pricing.
We stopped by the Celebration Golf Club and really wished Tom hadn’t hurt his back. It was a beautiful day and the course was in excellent shape. Maybe another time! <sigh>

The theater at Celebration is closed – something we were disappointed to see. But seriously, who wants to sit in a theater anyway?
This quaint town is worth the trip, even if it’s only for an afternoon to grab a cup of coffee at Starbucks, or a special treat at Kilwin’s Chocolate & Ice Cream, find a couple of empty rocking chairs overlooking the pond and simply talk. But be sure to bring your camera; every where you turn is another moment you’ll want to capture and remember.
We agree with their website’s byline: Town Center at Celebration, where the sun shines warm, and unique monthly events keep it cool.

Neat pictures so glad you are having a great time. take care
