What About Now?

Do you have vacation plans this summer?  If so, have you included time for the two of you to make a special memory together? It’s easy to let our entire time away revolve around the children, but don’t miss the romantic opportunity a new environment provides.

We have had the privilege of traveling to many beautiful locations around the world.  Most of them in the states, some in the islands and a few places in Europe.  We usually take lots of pictures, (correction – Debi takes ALL the pictures!). We tried our hand at a music video some time ago using many of our favorite shots set to Chris Daughtry’s song, “What About Now?”

We pray on this Sunday you will make the most of your Today, your NOW, and create memories that will last a lifetime, whether you’re at home or abroad.

This is post #10 in the Ultimate Blog Challenge to post each day in July.

Reminds me of a saying, live each day as if it’s your last. So often we forget what is most important while living. Thansk.

I am very aware that being farmers and not being able to get away or get a day off for most of the year, that its very easy to forget to just be together. Fortunately I have kept on top of it by checking with my husband what his plans are for the week, and chose the evening that would work best for both of us and plan a bath evening. This is a huge bath, and we take drinks (and sometimes chocolate if I’m lucky) and we just talk. This is time for us to let go and discuss everything and anything and relax. Its a way we feel close and stops us from taking eachother forgranted because we are talking about things without interuption and really hearing what eachother has to say.

That’s excellent, Gina. So glad you’re making time together a priority in a way that fits your schedule and budget. Great idea! And it’s clean too! 🙂

  3. Very nice post, Debi — it’s so true about making time as a couple every year and throughout the years. Heartwarming. On another note, how did you get your video link in your blog post? I put a video on my post today, but it only shows the link..have to click on it and it will open in another window (it is a YouTube — song “Human” by Natalie Grant

I click the “share” button on you tube and then click “embed”. Once you do that it will give you a code to copy and paste into your post. Thank you for your encouragement!
