Love Letter Discovery

We have talked for years about the lost art of writing heart-felt sentiments on paper. We came upon this report that will bring tears to your eyes.

May this inspire us to write our own love letters to each other. Such an intimate gift!

When Tom and I dated we lived 2.5 hours apart. We wrote lots of letter which helped to build our emotional intimacy. We cherish these letters.

We pray you will be inspired to write your heart on paper.

  1. Wow! Thank you for sharing this, Debi.

The heart that we put to pen
    is by writing refined
    by coherence’s demand’s and then
    by Grace of another kind.
    Loving Hands are our guide
for thoughts that flow to paper
and our love is thus codified,
    not lost to voiceless vapour.
In solid form heart-words are placed
    into time’s buoyant bottle,
so that today might be interlaced
    with tomorrow; love’s apostle.
    ‘Tis gold-weighed foolscap we’re cherishing
saved the precious words from perishing.
