How Do I Love Thee?

how do I love thee

We have been taught a simple way to quickly evaluate how you’re doing with loving your spouse using Scripture as the standard.  Simply take 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 and replace the word “love” with your name.  If any of these make you wence there’s a good chance you need to work on that area of your relationship.  This exercise isn’t to make you feel condemned, but encouraged to cry out to God for help in saying “no” to these sinful responses replacing them with loving ones. God’s grace is sufficient!

“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
