No Greater Love

How strong would you say your marriage is?

Are you equipped to face the unexpected challenges that are bound to come?

How can anyone be prepared?

Only by trusting in a Sovereign God who knows us and our spouse better than we know ourselves can we hope to be ready to face these challenges.  This is part of the mystery and adventure called marriage.

So many say, “I Do”, with an unrealistic expectation of a life of romance, roses and pure bliss!  Having been married for nearly 31 years, we know that marital love consists of so much more!  It’s about laying your life down for the other, 100%, without demands for anything in return.  The concept of each giving 50%, or meeting halfway, doesn’t go far enough.  For marriage to work, there must be complete and total surrender to your spouse  for their good – not your own.

Today marks the release of a new movie available on DVD titled, No Greater Love.  Although we haven’t seen it yet, the trailer looks compelling.  We’ve also read the high recommendations of Family Life’s, Dave Boehi.  We encourage you to order the DVD and make plans to watch it for an “at home” date night.  It is a movie that values Biblical convictions that are worth emulating.  And it’s sure to be a great springboard for meaningful communication.

That sounds pretty cool. I think you’re exactly right. Only by trusting in God to help us in our downfalls can we ever hope to have a healthy marriage.

I always said this to people but they don’t understand. It’s too bad I didn’t live what I said or I’d still be with my Covenant Love. But that’s a God-sized miracle and a Promise yet to be fulfilled.

I am looking forward to browsing your site. I see a whole LOT of intriguing stuff for my Miracle… 😉

    Blessings.
