You Light Up My Life

What better way to communicate this truth than to visit a Lighthouse.  Central Florida is blessed to have one within an hour’s drive that boasts the title of being the second tallest brick lighthouse standing at 175 feet.  Ponce Inlet Lighthouse is the place and a great location for a romantic afternoon with your spouse. Pack a picnic and make a day of it!

Successful marriages stand strong amid life’s storms like a lighthouse set upon the Rock.  Henry Wadsworth Longfellow penned these marvelous words and speaks well of this marriage metaphor:

Steadfast, serene, immovable, the same,

Year after year, through all the silent night

Burns on forevermore that quenchless flame,

Shine on that inextinguishable light!

    The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse was where my husband took me on our first date 🙂 We climbed up the lighthouse, looked around at the great birds-eye view. We then walked down to the pier and he read me some poetry that he had brought with him 🙂 Very romantic!
